Why Study in Japan

Top Reasons to Choose Japan

Nepal's #1 Study Destination

With 34,731 NOCs in FY 2080/81, Japan attracts more Nepali students than any other country — more than double second-place Canada. You will join a large, established Nepali community.

Affordable Tuition & Living

National university tuition starts at just ¥535,800/year (NPR 5,00,000). University dormitories cost ¥10,000-30,000/month. Japan is significantly more affordable than the USA, UK, or Australia.

28 Hours/Week Part-Time Work

Student visa holders can work 28 hours per week during classes and 40 hours during vacations. Common jobs at convenience stores, restaurants, and factories help cover living expenses.

Prestigious MEXT Scholarship

The Japanese government's MEXT scholarship covers full tuition, ¥117,000-145,000 monthly allowance, and round-trip airfare. It is one of the most generous fully-funded scholarships available to Nepali students.

World-Class Education & Technology

Japan has 10 universities in the global top 200. Its strength in engineering, robotics, automotive, and technology means graduates are in demand worldwide.

Cultural Experience & Safety

Japan consistently ranks among the safest countries in the world. You will experience a unique blend of ancient traditions and cutting-edge modernity while studying.
