Why Visit Us in Person?
The study abroad journey is one of the most important decisions your family will make. While we are happy to answer quick questions over the phone or email, we strongly believe that the best guidance happens face to face. When you visit one of our offices, our counselors can review your academic transcripts, assess your financial documentation, discuss your career goals in depth, and give you a personalized plan that accounts for your unique situation.
Over 1,500 students have walked through our doors since 2007. Many of them arrived uncertain, anxious, and overwhelmed by the process. They left with clarity, a concrete plan, and the confidence that comes from knowing exactly what to do next.
What to Expect When You Visit
Your first visit to Study Abroad from Nepal is always free, with no obligation to use our services afterward. Here is what a typical first visit looks like:
- Welcome and registration. When you arrive, our front desk team will welcome you and ask a few basic questions about your academic background and which countries interest you.
- Meet your counselor. You will be assigned to a counselor who specializes in your target destination. Our counselors have years of experience and deep knowledge of specific countries, universities, and visa processes.
- Profile assessment. Your counselor will review your academic records, discuss your career goals, and assess your family's financial capacity. This assessment takes approximately 30-45 minutes and is the foundation of your entire study abroad plan.
- Personalized recommendations. Based on your profile, your counselor will recommend countries, universities, and programs that match your goals and budget. They will also identify scholarship opportunities you may qualify for.
- Timeline and next steps. You will leave with a clear timeline — when to take your English test, when to submit applications, when to prepare financial documents, and when to apply for your visa.
Parents are welcome and encouraged to attend. In fact, many of our most productive consultations happen when the entire family participates. Understanding the process helps parents support their child more effectively and reduces the anxiety that comes with the unknown.
Office Hours and Directions
All 3 offices are open Sunday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM. We are closed on Saturdays and public holidays. Walk-ins are welcome, but we recommend booking an appointment in advance so we can dedicate focused time to your consultation without interruptions.
Putalisadak Office (Main Branch)
Our headquarters and largest office, centrally located in Putalisadak, Kathmandu. This is where Study Abroad from Nepal was founded in 2007. The office is near the Putalisadak bus stop, making it easily accessible by public transport from anywhere in the valley. If you are coming from the Ratna Park area, it is a 5-minute walk north on the main road. Look for the Study Abroad from Nepal signboard on the building. This office houses our senior counseling team, test preparation resources, and the visa documentation team. Phone: +977-9861293812.
Tinkune Office
Located near the Tinkune intersection, this office is ideal for students coming from Bhaktapur, Thimi, Madhyapur, and the eastern side of Kathmandu. The office is just off the main highway, near the Tinkune chowk. If you are arriving by bus, get off at the Tinkune stop and the office is within a 2-minute walk. The Tinkune office provides the complete range of services including counseling, application support, and visa preparation. Phone: +977-9861293812.
Koteshwor Office
Our newest office serves students from Koteshwor, Balkumari, Satdobato, Lagankhel, and the southern valley. The office was opened because we saw growing demand from families in these areas who wanted quality guidance without the commute to Putalisadak. Located on the main Koteshwor road, the office is accessible by microbus and tempo from Ring Road. Every service available at our main office is available here. Phone: +977-9861293812.

Frequently Asked Questions About Visiting
Do I need to bring any documents to my first visit?
It is helpful but not required. If you have your academic transcripts, any English test scores, and a rough idea of your family's budget for study abroad, bring them along. If you do not have these ready, our counselor can still give you general guidance and tell you what documents to prepare for a follow-up meeting.
Is the first consultation really free?
Yes. 100% free, with no hidden costs and no obligation. We believe that every student deserves the chance to understand their options before committing to any service.
Can I bring my parents?
Absolutely. We encourage it. The study abroad decision affects the entire family, and having parents present ensures everyone understands the process, the costs, and the timeline. Many parents tell us that attending the consultation significantly reduced their anxiety about sending their child abroad.
How long does a consultation take?
A typical first consultation takes 30-45 minutes. If you have a complex situation (previous visa rejection, study gap, low GPA), it may take slightly longer. We do not rush consultations — we take the time needed to understand your situation fully.
Can I consult over the phone or video call?
Yes. While we prefer in-person consultations, we understand that not everyone can visit our offices in person. Call us at +977-9861293812 or email info@studyabroadfromnepal.com to schedule a phone or video consultation.
