Work Rights in USA

During Studies

F1 visa holders work up to 20 hours per week on-campus during the academic term. Off-campus work requires CPT (Curricular Practical Training) authorization tied to the Nepali student's academic program.

After Graduation

After graduating, Nepali students receive 12 months of OPT (Optional Practical Training). STEM degree holders extend this by 24 months, for a total of 36 months of post-study work authorization in the USA.
