When I founded Study Abroad from Nepal in 2007, I had one simple belief: every Nepali student deserves honest, transparent guidance to achieve their dream of studying abroad. Too many students were being misled by consultancies that prioritized commissions over student welfare. I saw families spend their life savings on promises that never materialized, and I knew there had to be a better way.

I started with a small office in Putalisadak and a commitment to doing things differently. We would never recommend a university just because it paid us a higher commission. We would never promise a visa outcome that we could not control. And we would treat every student's application as if it were our own family member's future at stake.

Over the past 18years, we have stayed true to that founding principle. We do not just process applications — we build relationships. We take the time to understand each student's unique academic profile, career aspirations, and financial situation before recommending a path forward. When a student's GPA is low, we do not turn them away — we find universities that will evaluate their full potential. When a family's budget is tight, we help them find scholarships and affordable destinations like Germany or Japan.

Today, with over 1,500 successful visa placements and 3 offices across Kathmandu, I am proud of what our team has accomplished. We have sent students to universities in the USA, Australia, Canada, the UK, Germany, Japan, and beyond. We have helped students with 2.5 GPAs get into American universities. We have helped working professionals with 3-year study gaps earn their Australian visas. We have helped families who were told "it is not possible" prove that it is.

But what makes me proudest is hearing from our alumni. Students who are now thriving at universities around the world. Students who have built careers in their dream fields. Students who come back to Nepal with skills, networks, and confidence that they carry for a lifetime. Every time an alumnus walks through our door to say thank you, it reminds me why we do this work.

We have turned down commission-paying universities because they were not right for the student sitting across from us. That is a line we will never cross.

We guide you through financial documentation, visa interview preparation (with multiple mock sessions), and pre-departure orientation. If your financial documentation needs work, we will explain exactly what needs to change. We do not sell false hope. Our 3 Offices Across Kathmandu

We believe that the study abroad journey is built on trust, and trust is built face to face. That is why we operate 3 physical offices across the Kathmandu valley, making it easy for students and families to visit us in person.

Putalisadak Office (Headquarters)

Our main office and headquarters, centrally located in the heart of Kathmandu. This is where Study Abroad from Nepal began in 2007, and it remains our busiest location. The Putalisadak office houses our senior counseling team, our test preparation center, and our visa documentation specialists. If you are visiting for the first time, this is where most students start their journey. The office is easily accessible by public transport and is a short walk from the Putalisadak bus stop.

Tinkune Office

Located near the Tinkune intersection, our second office serves students from the eastern part of the Kathmandu valley. The Tinkune office offers the same full range of services as Putalisadak — counseling, test preparation guidance, application support, and visa documentation. It is conveniently located near the main highway, making it accessible for students coming from Bhaktapur, Thimi, and surrounding areas.

Koteshwor Office

Our newest office, serving students from Koteshwor, Balkumari, Satdobato, and the southern part of the valley. The Koteshwor office was opened in response to growing demand from families in these areas who wanted a local presence they could visit without traveling across the city. Every office provides the same quality of service, the same experienced counselors, and the same commitment to your success.

All 3 offices are open Sunday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Walk-ins are welcome, but we recommend booking a session in advance so we can dedicate focused time to your consultation.

Study Abroad from Nepal maintains direct partnerships with universities that we have vetted for accreditation, program quality, affordability, and support services for international students. Our US partner universities include Youngstown State University, Webster University, University of Central Oklahoma, Bowling Green State University, and Texas Wesleyan University, among others.

We also work with universities across Australia, Canada, and the UK, matching students to institutions where they have the strongest chance of admission and where the education will genuinely serve their career goals. We do not recommend universities we have not vetted. We recommend universities we would send our own family members to.
