During Studies
Nepali students on a study permit work up to 20 hours per week during regular academic sessions and full-time during scheduled breaks (winter, summer, spring). No separate work permit is required for on- or off-campus work.
After Graduation
The Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP) allows Nepali graduates to work for any Canadian employer. Duration depends on program length: 8-month to 2-year programs receive a PGWP equal to the program length; 2+ year programs receive a 3-year PGWP. Note: eligible fields have been frozen as of 2026.
